The variety "Fortuna" belongs to the species Monarda fistulosa. The plant is a perennial herb with straight stems, possessing a strong aroma reminiscent of thyme or citrus. The variety is recommended for cultivation as a honey plant, medicinal and ornamental plant.
During studies, the variety showed high resistance to powdery mildew caused by the fungi Erysiphe monardae and Golovinomyces biocellatus, and also demonstrated improved ornamental characteristics compared to other samples of the species.
