The variety is an ornamental plant with a spreading bush habit, which distinguishes it from the upright and trailing varieties of the genus Nemesia. The plant is officially included in databases of breeding achievements.

In the documentation for conducting distinctness, uniformity, and stability (DUS) tests, the variety Sumnem 03 is used as a reference for morphological comparison, in particular, when evaluating the arrangement of corolla lobes in other Nemesia varieties.
