The variety Alla is a perennial plant obtained as a result of interspecific hybridization of Nepeta transcaucasica and Nepeta grandiflora. The plant reaches an average height of 70 cm and forms raceme-like inflorescences about 40 cm long with lilac-purple flowers.

The plant belongs to two-cut crops and is propagated vegetatively by rooting green cuttings. Green mass yield reaches 374.4 c/ha with an essential oil mass fraction of 0.35% and a citronellol content of 74.3%.
