The plant is a bushy fern with dark green, stiff leaves featuring thick midribs. Unlike many Boston fern varieties, «Ariane» possesses a more pronounced upright growth habit; however, in low light, the shoots may droop, which allows for the variety's use in hanging baskets.

The foliage is characterized by high durability and resistance to breakage during transport, and the plant itself possesses hardiness to temperature fluctuations and dry air. The variety is versatile and suitable for use as a pot plant or landscape plant in hardiness zone 9.
