Variety description

The plant forms erect, highly branched stems and paniculate inflorescences with flowers resembling butterflies in shape. Plant height varies from 40 to 90 cm.

Gaura prefers sunny areas; with insufficient light, the stems may stretch and exhibit lodging. Under unfavorable climatic conditions, infestation with powdery mildew is possible.

The species is classified as thermophilic (hardiness zones 5–9). In regions with cold winters, it is cultivated as an annual or requires special protection or moving indoors.
