Variety description

This is an evergreen shrub with a dense crown, the height of which varies from 30–60 cm to 1–1.2 m. The leaves have a leathery texture and a grey-silvery color, often covered with white felted pubescence. Flowering occurs from late spring to mid-summer, in the period from May to July.
The plant is resistant to wind and sea spray, which makes it suitable for coastal gardens. Frost resistance is limited to temperatures down to -8/-10°C, therefore container cultivation is recommended in cold climates. It is used in decorative landscaping, rock gardens, and on terraces.
