Zeno group varieties are oilseed poppies intended for seed and oil production. Plants of this type are adapted to the winter development cycle, which allows them to exceed traditional spring forms in yield; however, under certain conditions, they may also be suitable for spring sowing.

Morphologically, the plants reach a height of more than 120 cm and form several capsules on a single stem; the seeds are dark blue in color. The variety is frost-hardy, but its overwintering depends on weather conditions. Yield is highly sensitive to sowing dates and nitrogen nutrition levels, and during the initial development period, the plants grow slowly and compete weakly with weeds.
