Variety description
10 August 2026
The variety has the experimental designation UGP 73 and possesses a medium-fine leaf texture. The plant forms stolons and rhizomes, which contributes to high turf density and tensile strength, allowing for sod production.
The plant possesses improved drought resistance, high tolerance to saline soils and short-term flooding with seawater. The variety demonstrates resistance to dollar spot and increased shade tolerance relative to other members of the species.
The variety is intended for creating high-quality turf on golf courses (tees, fairways, greens), sports fields, and decorative lawns.
