The Continental E variety is registered in Hungary as a variety of Paulownia tomentosa. Its use in scientific research is focused on studying the integration of trees into agricultural systems under the conditions of the Hungarian plains.

Within the framework of trials, the variety was used in alley cropping schemes, where trees were planted with row spacings of 14 or 18 meters. The experiments included intercropping Paulownia with agricultural crops, such as alfalfa, to analyze changes in soil microclimate and crop yields.
