The Mirada Violet variety is a double-flowered form of pelargonium. In scientific literature, it is known as an object of genetic transformation research aimed at studying the effect of specific gene expression on flower morphology and plant compactness.
During experiments, it was established that genetic manipulations aimed at modifying the plant habit cause a pleiotropic effect: plants lose their double-flowering characteristic, forming smaller flowers with five petals. The variety is not commercial and is not intended for mass production.
