The variety Palais belongs to zonal pelargoniums and was intended for use as a balcony or garden plant. It was used as material in the study of pelargonium resistance to pathogens of the genus Pythium in hydroponic systems.
In the international UPOV testing system, the variety is used as a reference sample when describing leaf characteristics, in particular, to characterize the color of the zone on its upper side. Detailed morphological data, such as plant height or productivity indicators, are not available in open sources.
