The plant is a subshrub with numerous branched stems 15–30 cm in height. The foliage is decorative, light green, featuring a white border or cream spots on the edges.

The flowers are simple, scarlet, with a flowering period occurring in summer and autumn. The variety is thermophilic, cannot overwinter in open ground, and is used primarily for balcony and terrace landscaping.
