Plants of the series are compact shrubs with lanceolate pubescent leaves and flowers collected in corymbose inflorescences. The series includes a number of individual varieties, such as Galaxy Polaris and Galaxy Mars.

Pentas is a quantitative long-day plant: with a long photoperiod, flowering occurs 7–10 days earlier than with a short one. Varieties of this group are intended for cultivation in containers, pots, and flower beds.
