The plant forms a rosette or subshrub 15 to 30 cm in height. Shoots are initially upright, but as they grow, they may droop, taking on a trailing form. The fleshy succulent leaves of dark green color have a specific shape with a depression in the center.

The underside of the leaves and the stems in many specimens are colored in a red or burgundy shade. The plant produces elongated spike-like inflorescences that do not have decorative value. The variety is intended for interior landscaping and is a trade name combining similar plant forms.
