The variety is a dense bushy subshrub, reaching a height of 40–90 cm. The plant's leaves are grey-green, deeply incised along the edges, and emit a characteristic spicy aroma when crushed.
Flowering continues from July to September or October. Large lavender-blue or violet-blue flowers are gathered in dense branched panicles. The plant is characterized by strong stems, although under certain conditions it may show a tendency toward the bush falling apart.
The variety possesses high drought tolerance and winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zones 4–10. The plant is suitable for creating mass plantings, use as a specimen plant, and for cultivation in containers.
