The variety Petzell was obtained through selection analysis of hundreds of genotypes to create stable raw material with specified metabolite parameters. It is used as the basis for the production of the standardized plant extract Ze 339, used in the treatment of allergic rhinitis.
The plant is grown under conditions of controlled cultivation according to Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) standards. Public data on traditional morphological or agronomic traits of the variety are absent, as the main focus is on the stability of the chemical profile.
