The variety SAKPXC040 (SuperCal® Shocking Pink) is a trailing plant with a height of 36–71 cm and a width of 36–81 cm. Flowering is profuse and prolonged from spring to autumn; the flowers have a bright fuchsia color and large size.

The plant possesses an energetic root system and high tolerance to soil pH levels. The variety exhibits increased resistance to heat and rain, which prevents damage to the flowers. It is a vegetatively propagated crop that does not form seeds.
