Variety PETPRE01 (commercial name Soleil Purple) was obtained by crossing Petunia integrifolia ssp. inflata and a wild form of Petunia thymifolia. The plant has a trailing growth type with slender shoots, allowing it to be used as a hanging or groundcover plant.

The leaves are round or broad-ovate in shape and dark green in color. The funnel-shaped semi-double flowers are violet with violet veins; the petal margins have a medium degree of waviness. Anthers are violet before opening, and the inside of the flower tube is also violet.
