The variety is a cultivar of an orchid of the genus Phalaenopsis and is used as a model organism for studying the influence of light spectrum and temperature regimes on bud induction and flower stalk development.

The plant reaches a height of 60–65 cm and is capable of forming up to two flower stalks. The flower diameter is approximately 8–8.5 cm.
