Almena is a pole vegetable bean with a ripening period of 55 to 70 days. The plant has good growth vigor, climbs actively, has an aerated plant habit, and purple flowers.

The pods are yellow, round in cross-section, straight, and fleshy. Their length reaches 18–21 cm with a thickness of 8–9 mm. The variety is intended for professional production and is resistant to anthracnose and bean common mosaic virus.
