The variety is an indeterminate pole plant. The seeds are characterized by a very large size, approximately 100 grams per 100 seeds, and have an oblong shape and a creamy-white color.

This variety belongs to the «fabada» (Faba Granja) class and is traditionally used for preparing Asturian dishes. The base variety is used as genetic material for breeding resistant bean lines, including resistance to anthracnose, powdery mildew, and potyviruses.
