The variety name is historically associated with the Ingegnoli company, although different plant types have been described under this name in various periods. Initially, it was a climbing Romano-type bean with yellow flat pods 1–1.2 cm wide and 16–18 cm long, and brown seeds. In modern catalogs, the name may refer to a bush form with white seeds.

The climbing form is classified as a mid-late or late variety. The fruits are consumed whole at a young age, as they belong to the mangiatutto type, which has no tough parchment layer. Due to the ambiguity of the naming, the plant growth type must be verified when selecting seed material.
