The Floreta variety is a local Catalan population of common bean, cultivated in the Vallès Oriental and Maresme regions. The plant belongs to climbing bean types. The variety is not a product of industrial breeding and is preserved as part of the regional genetic heritage.

The seeds of the variety have a white base color with a characteristic pattern of brown streaks and specks covering about a quarter of the surface. During cultivation, the variety shows susceptibility to viral diseases, such as bean yellow mosaic virus, which causes pod deformation and stunted plant growth.
