The Mustang bean variety, introduced by Pop Vriend Research B.V., has a maturity period of about 59 days. The plant forms medium dark green pods about 12.7 cm long with a sieve size of 2.

This variety has high resistance to bean common mosaic virus, anthracnose, and halo blight, as well as intermediate resistance to bacterial brown spot. The breeding line XPB202 from Asgrow is also mentioned in registries, however, specific characteristics for it are not detailed in the sources.
