The variety is a common bean mentioned in Dutch agricultural and scientific sources of the mid-20th century. The main application of the variety during the specified period was related to phytopathological trials, in particular, as a subject for studying resistance to anthracnose.
Modern detailed agronomic characteristics of the variety, such as plant morphology or maturity group, are absent in available publications. In a number of cases, the variety name is erroneously associated with lima bean, however, from a scientific point of view, these are different plant species.
