The plant is of the bush type. The seeds are kidney-shaped; during maturation, the pods acquire red-white striping, and upon full maturity, they become brown with dark stripes and a possible purple hue.

The variety is versatile and can be consumed both fresh while young and after reaching full maturity as a grain bean. It is distinguished by darker foliage and the characteristic variegation of the pods.
