Semenarna 22, also known by the folk name savinjski sivček, is an indigenous pole bean variety adapted to the conditions of the Savinja Valley in Slovenia. The plant belongs to the type of bean requiring support and is traditionally grown on tall structures.
The variety is intended for dry grain production, which is characterized by a grey-brown color. Research shows a high protein content, reaching approximately 26.2 g per 100 g of dry matter. In Slovenia, this variety is included in the register as a conserved genetic resource.
