Signora della campagna is a traditional pole bean variety, with plants reaching 190–200 cm in height. The pods are 14–15 cm long and green with purple or reddish streaks. The pods are fleshy, straight, and stringless.
The seeds are oval-shaped and cream-colored with dark red or pinkish-brown streaks. The variety belongs to the mid-late or late maturity group. The produce is consumed whole as pods, as well as in fresh-shelled or dry form.
