The Victoria variety is a crop adapted to the conditions of the semi-arid highland regions of Mexico, specifically the state of Durango. The plant belongs to the Durango race of the species Phaseolus vulgaris L.

This variety is noted for its high lectin content, which exceeds that of soybeans by three times. Due to the physical and chemical properties of the grain, the cooking time for the beans is over 150 minutes, which affects its market value. The variety is actively used as an object for analyzing antioxidant capacity and assessing the concentration of antinutritional factors, such as tannins and trypsin inhibitors.
