The variety was created through selection from Danish Øtofte material. The plant is distinguished by vigorous growth and belongs to the early-ripening types, demonstrating early heading and stem elongation, significantly outpacing a number of other varieties in terms of maturation timing.
The variety is intended for forage production, in particular for the establishment of perennial pastures and hayfields. It possesses high palatability for livestock. In seed production studies, a tendency of the variety to lodging under high plant stand density was noted.
