The plant forms dense clumps with large basal dark green leaves of sagittate or triangular-cordate shape with serrated margins. Flower stalks are erect and strong. Depending on growing conditions, the plant height varies from 50 to 150 cm.
Flowering occurs from May to July; lilac-pink flowers are gathered in dense tiers. The variety is drought-tolerant, possesses good disease resistance and frost resistance within the range of -10...-15°C. The plant is a honey plant and is used in ornamental gardening for mixed borders and cut flowers.
