Variety description

The variety is a natural mutation of Phlox divaricata. The plant is a perennial with semi-evergreen foliage that has a wide creamy-white margin, which acquires a reddish or pinkish hue in the cold season. The bush height is 15–30 cm with a width of up to 50 cm; the growth habit is a slowly spreading carpet.
Flowers of a lavender-blue or violet-blue shade are formed in loose clusters. The flowering period occurs in the middle to late spring. The plant is characterized by good heat and humidity tolerance and is suitable for cultivation in USDA hardiness zones 3–8. It is used in landscape design as a ground cover plant, as well as in containers and borders.
