The Barnine variety is a dwarf compact phlox with a dense bush, registered under the trade name Miss Candy. The plant is intended for cultivation in borders, flower beds, and containers.

Distinctive features of the variety are large fragrant flowers and resistance to diseases, in particular to powdery mildew. The flowering period occurs during the summer season.
