The plant is a perennial evergreen herbaceous crop with characteristic strap-shaped leaves of a wine-red color. The intensity of the foliage coloration may increase under the influence of certain growing conditions.

The variety is used in ornamental gardening as an architectural plant, valued for its modern and geometrically expressive appearance. Agrotechnical indicators adopted for agricultural crops do not apply to this variety due to its decorative purpose.
