The plant has an upright stem and reaches a height of 20–40 cm. The main decorative feature is the rounded, fleshy peltate leaves on long petioles. The leaf blade is decorated with a chaotic pattern of light green, cream, or yellowish spots and streaks on a dark green background.

Under indoor conditions, it flowers rarely and inconspicuously; the small flowers have no decorative value. It propagates by basal shoots. The variety is considered relatively low-maintenance, however, to maintain pronounced variegation, it requires bright, diffused lighting and moderate watering to avoid root rot.
