The pea variety Caty belongs to the group of crops intended for processing. During field trials conducted in the late 1980s — early 1990s, it was classified as a promising small-seeded pea of the petit pois type.
The plant has a stem of short length with dark coloration. The variety was included in the list of crops under study in 1990, however, detailed data on its resistance to diseases, lodging, or specific maturity group indicators are absent in open publications.
