The variety belongs to the group of dry peas, intended also for forage purposes. It was developed within the framework of programs for the improvement of local Spanish legume lines adapted to the specific climatic conditions of the region.

In scientific literature, the variety is studied primarily in the context of genetic mapping and analysis of resistance to the pathogen Pseudomonas syringae pv. pisi, which causes bacterial blight of peas. In open sources, there are no detailed quantitative data on morphological plant traits, such as height or lodging indices.
