The Le Généreux variety belongs to the group of marrowfat peas intended for shelling. The stem height reaches 95 cm, which requires the mandatory installation of supports, such as nets or twine, to prevent lodging and facilitate harvesting.
The plant is early-maturing, with the harvest period occurring from June to August. The pods have a curved shape and contain from 7 to 9 sweet grains with a tender texture.
In temperate climates, sowing is recommended in the spring, starting from March, as soon as the soil warms up; in regions with a mild climate, winter sowing is possible. The variety prefers sunny locations with fertile, loose soil and is sensitive to waterlogging and excess nitrogen.
