The Rodica variety was developed by the Teleorman Agricultural Research Station to improve productivity indicators, seed quality, and adaptation to local soil and climatic conditions. Between 2014 and 2016, the variety underwent trials at five zonal centers, demonstrating a yield higher than that of the control variety Nicoleta.
When evaluating this genotype, breeders analyze morphological parameters such as plant height, height of the first pod attachment, number of nodes on the stem, number of pods and seeds per plant, and thousand kernel weight. Detailed indicators of disease resistance and maturity dates are not provided in open publications.
