WithdrawnPlatanus L. · Plane

The variety features characteristic exfoliating bark with a light green or yellow-green background and grey-green, brown plates. Young shoots and buds are distinguished by a red-purple color; over time, the shoots become brown with elliptical lenticels. Morphological characteristics of the leaves, flowers, and fruits correspond to the species traits of Platanus × hispanica.
The plant tolerates paving and urban conditions well; however, the shallow root system may damage hard surfaces, and young branches are prone to breakage, which necessitates the use of supports. The variety is sensitive to sea wind but is characterized by resistance to leaf spot and is suitable for severe pruning.
