The variety is a semi-succulent perennial shrub with a woody base, reaching a height of about 1.2 m. The plant features bright green leaves with large teeth along the edges.
Flowering occurs from summer to autumn. The flowers are large, resembling jacaranda inflorescences, and in this variety they are closest to white forms. The plant prefers partial shade and is sensitive to frost.
