Mushrooms form in small groups of 2–6 fruit bodies. The fleshy cap changes shape from convex to flat during growth, and may become funnel-shaped at the maturation stage.

The cap color varies from light brown to beige; the edges may have a darker shade and characteristic fine radial streaks. The average cap diameter is about 96.2 mm with a flesh thickness of 13.1 mm. The flesh has a specific aroma.
