This object is not a variety in the modern sense but is classified as a strain or hybrid selected within the framework of breeding work. In a number of documents, it is mentioned as the result of crossing the species Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus florida.
Historically, breeding of this type was carried out under the guidance of Pál Gyuró with the aim of improving the production characteristics of the crop. In current registers, the designation C 751 is sometimes found in lists together with the species Stropharia rugoso-annulata, which may indicate the archival status of the number or a change in classification.
