The Fotios strain is a breeding product intended for industrial cultivation on standard mushroom substrates. During studies of the fruiting bodies, it was determined that this strain has a low protein content, amounting to approximately 6.2–8.5%.

During cultivation, the strain demonstrates high susceptibility to infection with bacterial blotch caused by Pseudomonas tolaasii. Due to this biological characteristic, strict control of environmental conditions is required when working with this variety to prevent the development of the disease.
