MN 234 is a breeding form of annual bluegrass, predominantly belonging to the perennial stoloniferous variety reptans. The accession was selected to create high-quality turf suitable for use on golf courses and sports fields.

The plant possesses a medium texture when mowed low at a height of 1/8 to 1/4 inch and provides a smooth cut surface. A key feature of the line is limited flowering, which allows for the avoidance of seed formation under standard mowing regimes for golf greens. The material demonstrates good seedling vigor, dark green color, and increased tolerance to drought, extreme temperatures, and diseases.
