The variety is a compact herbaceous perennial with a height from 30 to 80 cm. The main feature is fern-like foliage, which acquires a rich purple-violet or burgundy shade in spring and autumn. Large bell-shaped flowers vary from violet-blue to lavender-blue and have yellow stamens.
Flowering of the plant continues from late spring to mid-summer; repeat flowering is possible when faded shoots are pruned. The variety is winter hardy, withstanding temperatures down to -35 °C. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded areas with moderately moist fertile soils, while the leaf color manifests more intensely in bright sun.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
