The variety is a bud mutation of the Reine Claude d'Oullins variety. Fruits are medium-sized, round in shape, with purple-red or yellow-green skin with red-purple spots. The flesh is yellow-green or amber, translucent, moderately juicy, with a firm or semi-pasty texture, and a sweet taste.
The variety is a dessert type, self-fertile, ripening in early to mid-August. The tree is vigorous, with long ascending branches prone to bareness at the base and breaking under heavy yields. Fruiting begins relatively late.
The variety has low sensitivity to silver leaf disease and moderate susceptibility to bacterial canker. Mature fruits are prone to cracking in rainy weather, are susceptible to wasp damage, and have a limited shelf life.
