The tree possesses a weeping umbrella-shaped crown with a compact habit, the width of which usually does not exceed 1 meter. The plant height reaches 180 cm depending on the height of the rootstock onto which it is grafted.

The leaves are lanceolate, serrated, have a light green color with a bright yellow margin, turning orange-yellow in autumn. Flowering occurs early, in March or April, with simple pink-white flowers.

The variety possesses frost resistance down to -20 °C (USDA zone 6b). The plant is valued for its decorative qualities throughout the growing season and is often propagated by grafting onto a stem.
