Variety description

The rootstock is a hybrid of Prunus cerasifera and Prunus munsoniana. It is intended for grafting plum, cherry plum, as well as apricot and nectarine varieties, conferring high vigor to the scion.
The root system of the rootstock is shallow; it is resistant to temporary waterlogging, Verticillium wilt, root-knot nematodes, and certain types of root rot, including Armillaria and Rosellinia. It propagates by hardwood cuttings, adapts well to heavy, sandy, calcareous, and clay soils, while exhibiting moderate drought tolerance.
The plant is sensitive to bacterial canker, crown gall, and is susceptible to plum pox virus.
