The tree reaches a height of 10–15 meters. The main distinctive feature of the variety is the dark pink flowers gathered in long, drooping racemes 15–20 cm in length. Flowering occurs in early May.
Young shoots and branches are dark red in color. When budding, the foliage is also colored dark red or bronze, later becoming dull red or greenish. The variety possesses good adaptability to various climatic conditions and soil types.
The variety is intended for ornamental gardening and landscape design. Recommended for solitary planting in gardens and parks; the tree is attractive to birds.
